The pint and the wheel

This is what blogging looked like 100 years ago. If you wanted to learn how to make cheese or beer, you couldn't google it, pinterest it, or youtube video it. You just had to do it. In this spirit, my sister Barb and I (she's the one on the right)have decided to start our very own blog focusing on two of our favorite things that old-time people used to make that most of us now buy at the supermarket: beer & cheese. Lucky for us (and you) we live in a state with a very rich history in brewing and cheesing (Barb, is there a term for making cheese? I'll keep making them up until you tell me what it is. -Rob).

We will explore that history and figure out how it has influenced our current generation of cheese and beer-makers. There will be reviews, critiques, questions, answers, interviews, photographs, stories, recipes, how-to's and how-not-to's, all with some genealogical research mixed in. We're thrilled to be writing about two of the things we love most, and we're even more thrilled that you're reading this. We hope that you return to our site to learn, ask questions, answer questions, or just drool over some amazing pictures.
